This is a 7* MID-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the Washington Nationals.
The MLB season is a really long one and after a tough start to the 2015 campaign, the Nationals have turned things around, they're looking for a seventh win in their last eight games, while also trying to extend Mat Latos' longest winless streak in four years. At right around -150, I think we're getting tremendous line value on Stephen Strasburg and the surging Nats today. Washington would most recently take three of four from the Mets over the weekend, holding them to six runs total, including back-to-back shutouts to close the series. The Nationals are getting the job done in all kinds of ways right now, they'd rally and score four runs in the eighth in Monday's 6-4 series opening win over the Fish. And that's bad new for Latos who is 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA and whose seven-start winless stretch is tied for his second-longest. Strasburg is just 2-2 with a pedestrian 4.60 ERA, but like the rest of his team, after a slow start he's starting to get things turned around, he sat down ten straight after giving up two runs over 5 1/3's innings in his team's 8-2 win over the Mets on Thursday. And a date at home vs. Miami is just what the doctor ordered to continue the momentum, he's 4-0 with a 1.85 ERA in nine matchups vs. the Fish at Nationals Park since dropping his first career home start against them. The Marlins are now clearly trending in the opposite direction, they've served up six runs in back-to-back losses after winning nine of ten. The home side gets the nod on the bump and at the plate and with those two crucial factors clearly working in WASHINGTON's favor, I have no issue at all in laying what I feel to be an extremely reasonable price.
