For the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching and in this case, the home side enjoys a significant advantage on the mound tonight. The Cubs hand the ball to Jake Arrieta who is 3-1 with a 2.03 ERA thus far, while posting a 0.94 WHIP in April. Arrieta is most recently coming off a 5-2 win over Cincinnati on Sunday, giving up four hits and two runs through six innings. And that's bad news for the Brewers, who rank near the bottom of the league with 3.09 runs per game. And it's also bad news for Brewers starting pitcher Mike Fiers, who is 0-3 with a ballooned 5.79 ERA and who has failed to get out of the fourth inning over his last two starts; also note that Fiers has posted a poor .358 opponents batting average, one of the worst in the entire league. Considering the talent discrepancy on the mound, in my opinion this line should be much higher, play on the CUBS.
