AAA's 10* *Mavs/Rockets* GAME 2 BLOCKBUSTER!
(NBA) Dallas vs. Houston,
Total: 215.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Win
Total: 215.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between the Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Rockets.
I played the OVER in Game 1, but for a number of different reasons I expect the Game 2 total to fall below the posted number once the final horn blares. The Rockets would beat the Mavs for a fifth time in six meetings, both SU and ATS in the 118-108 victory. The Mavs would battle back to cut a 13-point deficit to four at halftime, but ultimately Houston was able to cover in the second half because of a huge discrepancy at the free-throw line, the Rockets made 32 of 45 shots, while Dallas attempted only 17. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about these two teams? For me, it's offensive dominance, so it may come as a shock to learn that it was the first time in five meetings between the team's that the total actually flew above the number, all four-regular season contests all went below the number, with none finishing with more than 211 points. Note that Dallas has seen the total go UNDER the number in 18 of 33 this year in trying to revenge a game vs. an opponent, while Houston has seen the total fall below the posted number in 28 of 45 vs. poor defensive teams that allow 99 plus points per contest. Suffice it to say, I think the writing is on the wall and a classic low-scoring defensive battle is in the cards, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
