This is a 10* play on the UNDER between the Nashville Predators and the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Predators tied this series at 1-1 after a big Game 2 performance, but with a shift in venue, I am expecting a classic, lower-scoring defensive battle and think we're getting unreal value on the lower number today. Nashville though will be coming to town without the services of captain Shea Weber for at least Games 3 and 4 due to a lower-body injury suffered in the second period on Friday. After allowing a career high for goals in Friday's 6-2 loss, the Blackhawks have elected to start the red hot Scott Darling, who came in on relief of Crawford in Wednesday's win, stopping all 42 shots he faced in the 4-3 double OT victory; note that Darling sports a 1.95 GAA in 14 appearances this year and 1.20 in six games over the past month, allowing only five goals in five home contests (also note that one of Darling's nine career regular-season victories came against Nashville on December 6th, he'd stop 32 shots in the 3-1 win). I think these two normally defensive minded clubs get down to business on Sunday afternoon and expect this total to ultimately fall UNDER the posted number.
