AAA's EARLY 10* O/U ART OF THE GAME (100% RUN ON THE LINE!)
(NHL) Minnesota vs. St. Louis,
Total: 5.00 | -113.00 Over
Result: Push
This is a 10* O/U ART OF THE GAME on the UNDER between the Minnesota Wild and the St. Louis Blues.

When the smoke clears at the end of this one, I expect this total to sneak below the posted number. St. Louis can obviously ill afford another "brain fart" like it displayed in Game 1, heading to Minnesota in a 2-0 hole would be just too much for this team to overcome. The usually defensive minded Blues looked out of sorts on that end of the ice, in my opinion clearly caused by the four-day layoff between the end of the regular season and the start of the playoffs: "We have not played well off of layoffs all year. This is probably another example of that," St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock said. "We're going to have to play better. Killer instinct comes in a number of fashions." But with that first awkward performance out of the way, I am fully expecting the disciplined home side to come out with a much more concerted defensive effort this evening. The Wild though will be looking to take advantage here, they looked great on both ends of the ice, particularly on the defensive end in my opinion, Minnesota killed both power plays after it had a league-best 90.8 percent penalty-kill rate since the All-Star break. Wild' goaltender Devan Dubnyk would make 19 saves after going 27-9-2 with a 1.78 GAA in 39 starts after being acquired in mid January. The home side turns to Jake Allen, who made 25 saves in Game 1 and who went 5-1-1 with a 1.15 GAA in his last seven starts of the regular season. Note that Minnesota has seen the total go UNDER the number in 14 of 22 this year after scoring four goals or more in its previous game, while St. Louis has seen the total dip below the posted number in six of ten in revenging a home loss vs. an opponent. I think the writing is on the wall and a classic low-scoring defensive battle is in the cards, play on the UNDER.
