Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the St. Louis Blues.
With a chance to secure home-ice advantage thought the Western Conference playoffs on the final day of the regular season, I believe it will be all hands on deck for the Blues, I am fully expecting this team to risk life and limb getting into shooting and passing lanes and feel that this overall determination to lock up that spot will prove to be the difference once the final horn blares. Minnesota's position is locked, a win or a loss matters not to the Wild, this plays directly into our hands here as well. This sets up as a letdown spot as well for the Wild, they've won 12 straight on the road and I think will just be satisfied to finish the regular season without sustaining any injuries. The Blues have been just as hot, they've won four of five and are firing on all cylinders at the exact correct moment. This is also a double revenge game for St. Louis which fell 3-1 at home on March 14th, and 6-3 in Minnesota a week later. The Wild didn't face goaltender Jake Allen in either of those games though and he's 4-1-0 with a 1.20 GAA over his last five. This is a fantastic situational play, unload with confidence on ST. LOUIS.
