AAA's MID-CHALK CHOKE-OUT (LAY IT & CASH IT!)

This is a 7* MID-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the Washington Nationals.
The Nationals line-up finally gets a chance to redeem itself after a 3-1 defeat in Monday's opener, slugger Bryce Harper's home run was just one of three total hits for the team which is expected to be a legitimate World Series contender. The Nats send Jordan Zimmermann to the mound who would go on to post a career-best 2.66 ERA last season. Note that Zimmermann was particularly dominant vs. the Mets as well, going 4-0 with a 2.67 ERA in his last five vs. them. Obviously this won't be a cake-walk for Zimmermann though, his counterpart Jacob DeGrom was 9-6 with a 2.69 ERA in 22 starts in 2014 and was 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA in six spring outings. One National though has enjoyed plenty of success off of DeGrom, Ian Desmond is 2 for 3 with a home run vs. him. Also note that New York is already dealing with bullpen issues after placing closer Jenrry Mejia on the 15-day DL yesterday. These pitchers and line-ups are pretty even today, I think the very slight difference comes in Zimmermann's clear home field advantage, he was 7-2 with a 2.57 ERA in Washington last season. And that's just enough to tip the scales in favor of WASHINGTON today.
