This is an 8* O/U COAST-TO-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Toronto Raptors and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
For a number of different reasons I expect this total to fall below the posted number once the final horn sounds. Russell Westbrook and the Thunder are coming off a 108-105 loss in Chicago last time out and suffice it to say, I think both will be extra motivated to take out their frustrations on the visiting Raptors today: "He's not happy that he scored a bunch of points and got a bunch of rebounds and assists and we lost the game," OKC coach Scott Brooks said afterwards. "Russell is about winning and about winning only." The home side also plays with revenge here after falling 100-88 in Toronto on November 4th (granted, both Kevin Durant, who will also be sitting today, and Westbrook were both injured for that one). Obviously the Raptors won't just be rolling over today though, they're coming off a frustrating 103-94 loss at Charlotte; note that Toronto has in fact lost seven of its last eight, a poor defense has been the culprit, allowing teams to average 108.4 points over the last five games. Both teams are pushing towards the playoffs, but each has clearly been struggling defensively; I expect both teams to play with a highly concerted effort this evening; note that Toronto has in fact seen the total go UNDER the number in six of its last nine after playing to three or more consecutive OVERS, while OKC has seen it fall below the posted number in 15 of 24 non-conference games and in five of seven when playing with two days of rest. In my opinion the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp move in this one.
