This is an 8* SITUATIONAL DESTRUCTION on the LA Kings.
The LA Kings are already in "playoff mode", with just 19 games left the team needs to string together some wins to avoid being left out of post-season action. While LA has struggled this year, it's quietly been playing a lot better of late and I think is severely under-valued in this spot; note that the Kings have won five of their last six in front of the home town crowd. LA also comes in with plenty of momentum here after hammering Edmonton 5-2 on Tuesday. This is also a revenge game for the defending champions who lost 6-2 in Montreal back on December 12th. The Habs come in with heavy legs and a bit disheartened after last night's 3-1 loss at Anaheim, after also falling 4-0 at San Jose on Monday. Also note that backup goaltender Dustin Tokarski is expected to get the start in the second game of the back to back for the Habs, he's just 1-3-1 with a 3.43 GAA over his last five starts. There's no question who will be in net for the home side, Jonathan Quick is once again dominating down the stretch, he's 9-2-0 with a 1.88 GAA over his last 11 games. Note that Montreal is 11-12 (-5.8 units) in non-conference games this year, while LA is 7-5 (+1 unit) in its last 12 vs. teams with winning records. In my opinion, this number should definitely be larger, great value on the KINGS.
