This is a 10* REVENGE DESTRUCTION on the Dallas Stars.
The Stars have lost four straight games to the Avs this year and despite still being down top scorer Tyler Seguin, I believe the home side will risk like and limb getting into shooting and passing lanes today to earn the victory and believe this is in fact the very definition of great line value. I think this also sets up as a natural let down spot for Colorado, it had won four of its previous five before getting killed 5-2 in Nashville on Tuesday, goaltender Semyon Varlamov looked particularly shaky in allowing four goals on 29 shots. Conversely, I think the Stars come in highly motivated, not only to avenge the four earlier losses and to avoid the season sweep, but also because they're just 1-4-1 since Seguin's injury on February 13th. Note that Dallas has continued to excel offensively even without Seguin in the lineup though by averaging 2.83 GPG, Jamie Benn has seven goals and six assists in eight games. Note that Colorado is just 9-15 (-3.9 units) vs. division opponents this year and just 10-13 (-2.5 units) following a divisional contest. And note that Dallas is 9-7 (+2 units) when playing with two days of rest. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the STARS as the savvy move in this contest.
