AAA's EARLY TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!"
(NHL) Boston vs. Chicago,
Total: 5.00 | -130.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.00 | -130.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the UNDER between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks.
For a number of different reasons I believe this total will sneak below the posted number once the final horn sounds. Both teams have been waffling of late and I expect this mediocre play to translate into a classic low-scoring battle as each side plays with a sense of urgency in trying to notch the victory. Boston will clearly be desperate here as it looks to avoid a seventh-straight loss. Chicago has been far from fantastic of late as well in having dropped 12 of its last 22 since January 1st, most recently falling 4-1 to Colorado on Friday. The Hawks will look to get back to basics, penalty killing and strong goaltending had been the teams primary strengths before the slide. Boston's situation is much worse though obviously, it's most recently coming off a 5-1 loss in St. Louis on Friday, and is on its longest skid since a 10-game slide in 2010. The B's offense could be in for another long night, it's averaged just 2.13 goals this month, which happens to be just above Chicago's 2.11. Note that Boston has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of 15 this year in trying to revenge a loss vs. an opponent, while Chicago has seen the total dip below the posted number in 14 of 17 non-conference games and in seven of 11 after allowing four goals or more in its previous contest. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp move in this one.
