AAA's WEST-COAST TOTAL EXPRESS (+$52,136 NBA s/ 2013!)
(NBA) Houston vs. Dallas,
Total: 210.00 | -104.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* WEST-COAST TOTAL EXPRESS on the OVER between the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks.

These teams have played twice this year and each game has gone UNDER the number, but for a number of different reasons, both situationally and trend based, I think the conditions are finally right for a higher-scoring shootout and expect this total eclipse the posted number as the game comes down stretch. This is a big game for the home side, it's coming off a disappointing loss in Oklahoma City just last night (I had the Thunder in that one), and has already lost two to the Rockets this season; suffice it to say I'm expecting the Mavericks to come in highly focused today and expect that determination to translate into production on the court. Houston could care less about Dallas' issues, it will look to punch a third straight win in the series, the Rockets had six players score in double figures in the last game and it's this incredible depth which I believe will be on full display again tonight. One player to obviously keep your eyes on today is Houston's James Harden who is averaging a league-best 27.4 points. From a situational stand point, this is about as strong a play as you could possibly ask for, both teams come in motivated and there's no doubt that we can expect each to be shooting the ball today, Houston averages a league-high 33.6 3-point attempts per game, while Dallas is in fourth at 27.0 (note that the Rockets ended a seven-game slide at Dallas in its last visit with a 117-115 victory on January 29th, 2014). Also note that the Rockets have seen the total go OVER the number in 16 of 26 road games and in four of six this year when playing with three or more days of rest. And note that Dallas has seen the total sail above the posted number in 14 of 26 this year vs. teams with winning records and in two of three as a home favorite of 3 points or less. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this one.
