While they've yet to play this season, there's no question that this sets up as a "revenge" game for the visitors who have dropped six straight in the series. Washington played exceptionally well on its recent road trip, most recently pulling off the 3-1 win in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, but a return home to friendly confines smells like a classic letdown spot to me. I have had a lot of success with my PUCK LINE wagers over the years, some times I recommend laying the 1.5 goals for the plus-money return and in others (like this one), I believe the value is in laying the price for the insurance. I think this contest will be a lot more competitive than what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe and in a game which I expect to be decided late or in the extra periods, grabbing the 1.5 goals in my opinion is the prudent move here. Winnipeg has been quietly dominating as well, it's won four of five and holds a wild-card spot in the West, most recently coming off back-to-back 5-4 shootout wins at Detroit and vs. Edmonton, after falling to Nashville last Thursday. For the most part both teams have been getting pretty good goaltending, a slight nod to the home side with Braden Holtby, but as mentioned off the top, all signs point to a classic nail-biter here, consider a second look at the JETS on the PUCK LINE.
