Editors Note: AAA Sports would return to his LONGTERM WINNING WAYS on Friday, a 2-1 card which was highlighted by his BIG 10* College Hoops winner on Niagara! AAA is now a POWERFUL 30-24 +$4,362 Y-T-D on the College Hardwood and he has THREE BIG PLAYS ready for Saturday!
Desperation breeds motivation and with a chance to end a franchise-record losing streak, I think it will be all hands on deck for the home side as it looks to handle the lowly Oilers. Toronto is coming off its 11th consecutive loss on Friday, a 4-1 setback to the Devils (I had a free play on the OVER in that one, a push); to say the team is angry would be a bit of an understatement I think: "These are not the kind of records you want to set," forward Tyler Bozak said. "It's awful." "When things are going the way they're going, we have to find a way to rally around each other," Leafs' goaltender James Reimer echoed. "We have to smarten up and play with passion, play like men, play with resolve. We don't have that right now." Edmonton comes to town off a 2-0 home loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday, but if history is any precedence, then the home side has to be loving its chances to snap the slide as it's won five-straight in the series. Also note that Edmonton is expected to be short-handed on this trip, with top goal scorers Benoit Pouliot and Taylor Hall sidelined with foot and leg injuries (and note that Edmonton is 5-8 (-1.4 units) when playing with two days of rest this season). Some times "desperation" is a factor in which the oddsmakers have a hard time properly quantifying into a line and that's the case here in my opinion, consider a second look at TORONTO in this one.
