For a number of different reasons I expect this total to stay below the posted number. The Isles are reeling after losing Kyle Okposo and enter this game having lost three straight. Okposo leads the team with 30 assists and 44 points overall. Philadelphia will be eager to take advantage and to atone for a 7-4 loss to New York back on January 19th, the Islanders third straight win in the series. The Flyers come in with plenty of momentum, they've won four straight after holding on to beat Toronto 1-0 on Saturday and with four days off to prepare for this contest, I expect the home side to be focused on the task at hand: "We're not out of it," Philadelphia captain Claude Giroux said last night. "We have a lot of character in this room. We want to give ourselves a chance to make the playoffs and we have to look at the small picture. The New York Islanders, they've been playing very well and it's going to be a really good test for us to see where we're at." Note that Flyers goaltender Steve Mason has posted a tiny 1.01 GAA while starting three games during the win skein. But not to be outdone, note that Isles' goalie Jaroslav Halak has won his last four starts vs. Philadelphia while posting a 1.22 GAA in the process. I definitely feel that the UNDER is worthy of a second look in this spot.
