AAA's O/U COAST-TO-COAST EXPRESS (EPIC NBA RUN CONT!)
(NBA) Boston vs. Minnesota,
Total: 202.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 202.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* O/U COAST-TO-COAST EXPRESS on the OVER between the Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
For a number of different reasons I expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. A couple of the league's cellar dwellers go head to head on Wednesday night, each comes in motivated and I expect that to translate into production on the court in this one. Both teams are "hungry." Minnesota has lost five straight overall and ten straight in front of the home town crowd. The C's roll into town as one of the "hottest" teams over the short-term and they'll be looking to parlay that success with another win, they've prevailed in three of four, the only loss coming by three-points to the league-leading Warriors on Sunday. Boston would then get back to its winning ways with a 99-90 victory over Utah on Monday. The Wolves won't be rolling over obviously, this is a young team that's eager to win, they also play with revenge after falling 114-98 to Boston on December 19th; take note though that Minnesota was missing five players in that one, and while it's still not back to full strength, note that the visitors will be without the services of Kelly Olynyk once again, he had 21 points in the earlier win over the Wolves. One consistent bright spot for Minnesota has been the play of rookie Andrew Wiggins, he's averaging 19.8 points over his last 18 games. This is a great situational play in my opinion, but when looking at it from an O/U trend based angle, it becomes even stronger, note that Boston has seen the total go OVER the posted number in five of seven this year off an upset win as an underdog, and note that Minnesota has seen the total sail above the number in 14 of 23 this year after three or more consecutive SU losses. In my opinion, the situation and the trends clearly point to the OVER as the savvy move in this one.
