AAA's 10* *Thunder/Hawks* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER (+$50,490 NBA RUN CONT!)
(NBA) Oklahoma City vs. Atlanta,
Total: 208.50 | -105.00 Over
Result: Win
Total: 208.50 | -105.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Atlanta Hawks.
For a number of different reasons I am expecting this total to fall below the posted number once the final buzzer sounds. Both teams come into this game red hot; Atlanta can set a franchise record with a 15th consecutive win on Friday, while the Thunder look to continue their electric surge and with a fifth straight victory. Atlanta has won 13 of 14 at home and is 14-5 vs. teams that are above .500, which now includes OKC after its 105-103 OT win over Washington on Wednesday. And note, the last time these teams played against each other, Thunder star Kevin Durant would hit a jumper with 1.5 seconds remaining to give his team the 111-109 win back on January 27th of late season. So many of these games going OVER the number, I think the value is clearly pointing the other way now. And note, this is a position in which both teams have shown a penchant to play to the lower number in, OKC has seen the total dip below the posted number in four of six this year after three or more consecutive SU wins, while ATL has seen it fall UNDER the number in seven of 11 non-conference games and in 12 of 21 after scoring 105 points or more. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp move in this one.
