This is a 10* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
For a number of different reasons I look for this total to stay below the posted number once the final buzzer sounds. Both teams will be hungry here and I think that will translate into a really aggressive game, which in turn will slow it down to a more methodical pace with a lot of half court sets while on offense; note that these types of contests invariably lend themselves to the lower number. Chicago is trying to avoid a fourth loss in five games, most recently coming up short in a 107-99 setback to the Hawks on Saturday. After tonight, the road only gets tougher for Chicago as well with games vs. San Antonio, Dallas and Golden State on the horizon. Chicago was one of the league's most dominant defensive teams through the first 35 games of the year, but has given up an uncharatertistic 103.1 during its last seven; suffice it to say, I think the team comes out focused on the defensive end of the floor tonight. The Cavs are trending in the other direction after LeBron James returned to the lineup, most recently coming off a 126-121 win over the Clippers on Friday. Note that the last time these teams played, it was a barn burner as well as the Cavs would pull away for a 114-108 OT win on October 31st. Note though that Kevin Love is questionable for the visitors after missing Friday's contest with back spasms. From a situational stand point, you can't ask for a much stronger play than this, note that Chicago has seen the total go UNDER the posted number in four of five this year after playing to three or more consecutive OVERs, while Cleveland has seen the total dip below the number in ten of 13 this year after allowing 105 points or more. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp move in this one.
