Editors Note: AAA Sports continues to ANNIHILATE the books with his NBA picks, after going a PERFECT 3-0 (100%) on Monday, he enters mid week at a BLISTERING 50-35 +$10,350 Y-T-D and 237-171 +$49,350 s/ 2013! INCREDIBLE! AAA goes ALL IN on Wednesday, three 10* "Hoops" picks which have the "C-A-$-H" written ALL over them!
When the smoke clears at the end of this one, I expect the home side to find a way to get the job done. Boston is struggling, it's just 5-6-5 since December 1st, most recently falling 2-1 at last-place Carolina on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Bruins, a date away from friendly confines is not what the doctor ordered to get untracked either in my opinion as the team is just 3-7-2 its last 12 on the road. Pittsburgh has also been struggling of late, it's just 2-4-1 in its last seven, most recently coming off a 4-1 loss to Montreal on Saturday; note though that the Pens get a big boost today with the expected return of defenseman Paul Martin. Definitely a tough spot for Boston, as it then has a quick turnaround to face New Jersey on Thursday; note that the Bruins are a horrible 6-11 (-7.1 units) vs. teams with winning records this year, while the Penguins are 5-2 (+2 units) after scoring one goal or less in their previous games. In my opinion, the home side is definitely worth a second look in this spot.
