Editors Note: AAA Sports would close 2014 w/ a BIG 4-2 card, winning in BOTH NCAAF and the NHL! He's 47-29 (62%) +$11,388 ALL SPORTS the L17 days and an INCREDIBLE 742-565 +$80,557 w/ ALL plays s/ Jan. 19th! INSANE! But guess what?! The winning just gets BIGGER AND BIGGER! Five Bowl Games and TOP PLAY NBA go New Years Day!
Simply put, the Kings have forgotten how to win on the road, something that I think the home side takes full advantage of today. LA comes to Vancouver on a five-game road losing streak and two straight overall. It may come as a shock to learn that only league-wost Edmonton has fewer road victories that LA. Starting goaltender Jonathan Quick has been Jekyll and Hyde all year, he's 13-3-2 with a 1.79 GAA at home, compared to an abysmal 2-6-5 with a ballooned 2.94 GAA on the road. Also note that Quick has lost three straight in Vancouver behind a pedestrian 2.37 GAA. This is the opener for a five game home stand and the Canucks return to Vancouver with plenty of momentum after handling the Sharks 3-1 on Tuesday (I gave out a free play on San Jose in that one and was obviously not expecting that. Normally I don't "flip flop" on teams from game-to-game, but as primarily a "situational" handicapper, this opportunity is too good to turn down in my opinion). The Cnaucks are actually 3-0-1 their last four, getting the job done with superb defensive play as they've killed off 34 of 36 penalties in December. And to say this is a "revenge" game would be a bit of an understatement I think as LA has taken five of the last six meetings. Note that LA is already a poor 8-10 (-3.4 units) when playing against a team with a winning record, while Vancouver is a superb 10-8 (+1.3 units) in revenging a loss vs. an opponent and 11-6 (+2.6 units) vs. teams with losing records. Considering all of the above factors, don't you also think that this is tremendous line value?! Consider a second look at VANCOUVER in this one.
