This is an 8* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between LSU and Texas A&M.
Neither of these teams has been lighting up the scoreboard of late, but I think each of these SEC foes comes to play today and expect this total to eclipse the number as the game comes down the stretch. LSU is 7-4 overall and 3-4 in the SEC; Texas A&M sports the identical record. The Tigers will certainly be motivated here as they look to avoid dropping three straight games for the first time under coach Les Miles. LSU also needs a victory to reach eight wins for the 15th straight season. The Aggies are looking to bounce back following a listless effort to Missouri last week. LSU's secondary is one of the best in the nation, but I think will have its hands full today with the Aggies talented receiving corp which is led by Josh Reynolds, the unit is ranked tenth in the nation with 321 yards per game (keep your eyes on Reynolds, he has 12 receiving TD's and is just one score away from tying Texas A&M's single-season record). I also think that the Aggies will have trouble in slowing down LSU's RB Leonard Fournette who has 745 rushing yards with seven TD's; note that the freshman has three 100-yard rushing games which includes a career-high 140 yards in his first career starts vs. the Gators back on October 11th. Texas A&M has lost three straight in the series. Note that LSU has seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last eight off a loss vs. a conference rival, while Texas A&M has seen it sail above the number in three of four as an underdog this season. In my opinion, this number is a little low; play on the OVER.
