As we head to Seattle in this NFC West battle, I know what you are thinking. How can we back the Seahawks here off a shut-out win and coming home off a cross-country flight. Come on Higgs! Seattle already beat Arizona back in October 34-22. The Cardinals are 10-4 ATS on the year. Division dog getting double digits!
I know. I get it. Seattle is also an impressive 10-4 ATS on the year. But they have been doing it as a heavy face and public darling. This is a legit Super Bowl contender. Super Bowl contenders take care of business and don't get picked off looking ahead. That would have happened last week with Seattle taking on the lowly Giants with this tough division game vs a hot Arizona team on deck. It didn't happen.
I won't take anything away from the Arizona defense. It is a good, solid unit. My issues is with the offense. Primarily, QB Carson Palmer. The guy has been hot the last 5 games, 9TDs just 2INTs. But we can't forget him tossing INTs in 10 straight games! Seattle brings the #1 total defense to the game this afternoon. I am sure the 12th man, will rattle Palmer also. Finally, both Palmer and WR Fitzgerald are a bit banged up. If your best weapon is doing concussion tests, you have a problem.
So the only guy who can possible be an advantage is not at 100%? Every time that Cardinals ventured on the road to face a step up in competition, they have floundered. At New Orleans, at Frisco, at Philly.
