And yes, the bloated ERA comes from 7 in 2.1 innings last start. But Crochet hasn't gone more than 4 innings in any of his last 6 starts. Makes sense - His career high innings pitched was 54 1/3 !! 73 innings. 73 career innings. The guy was a relief pitcher. Tired arm. Dead arm. Regression. Word it any way you would like it. Oh. And here come the Astros who have won 8 in a row and 10 of 13. Pretty much punched their playoff ticket as the Mariners continue to waste great pitching by forgetting they need to score runs. 13 runs in Arrighetti's last 6 starts isn't terrible. Houston is back of that 8-1 road trip. They had the day off yesterday to settle in, and I see no reason they don't sweep the Sox here.
