Taking the GIANTS. This is really just me fading 40 year old Charlie Morton, and the Braves as a whole. Coming into Monday night they had lost 7 of 10, and a really bad one on Sunday blowing a big lead. Maybe Sale gets them going vs Snell on Monday. But today is Tuesday and for as bad as they braves 3-7 run has been, the Giants reeling off 7 of 10 has them just 1.5 back in the Wild Card hunt. Can't hurt knocking off a team in front of you to get into some October baseball. Back to Charlie Morton though. Not good on the road. 5.14 ERA not good at all, and it makes sense when you see his .296 BA Against and 1.45 WHIP. You let opposing teams rip you for a nearly .300 average, you will give up runs, and lose some games. Morton was having a nice season right up to July. Then in 4 starts he had a 5.31 ERA and 272 BA Against. He rebounded in a game vs Miami, then in his last outing got bombed by the Brewers for 8 runs in 2.2 innings of work.
