The Pelicans lost Zion in their home loss to the Lakers, and while some will lean on the "injured player theory", I am not sure you can equate losing your best player in the middle of the regular season, to losing your best player with an elimination game on deck. The Kings were impressive in last year's playoffs, going seven games against the Warriors. They didn't take the next step this year, but they might be getting hot at the right time. The one guy that the Pelicans need to step up, is Brandon Ingraham. The former Laker scored just 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the loss to the Pelicans. Too much drama in New Orleans for me, I'll take the Kings.
