Stephen Nover Free WNBA Wednesday Play
(WNBA) Storm (SEA) vs. Aces (LV),
Point Spread: -6.00 | -112.00 Aces (LV) (Home)
Result: Win
The two-time defending WNBA champion Aces are just 6-6 this season. They also haven't had point guard Chelsea Gray for the entire season. That changes tonight as Gray, one of the dozen best players in the league, is set to make her season debut.

Given that the Aces are home, finally will have Gray and are in a revenge spot, I see them covering against Seattle.

The Storm are much improved after loading up in the off-season adding Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith to go with Jewell Loyd, the leading scorer in the league last year. That's reflected in Seattle's 9-5 SU and ATS record.

So normally the Storm is not a team I want to fade. But I see Gray providing a huge spark and the Aces being sky-high and in desperation mode for this game, having lost four of their last five. That skid began with a 78-65 home loss to the Storm. The Aces shot just 31 percent from the floor in that defeat. Las Vegas is the top scoring team in the WNBA at 86.6 points per game and also No. 1 in free throw percentage.

Seattle is away from home for the fifth time in its last six games. This also marks the Storm's third consecutive road game.

So the spot sets up well for Las Vegas.
