Much credit to the Lynx for upsetting Connecticut as double-digit road 'dogs this past Sunday. That followed Minnesota also upsetting New York as even a bigger road 'dog this past Thursday. Minnesota won both of those games without its best player, Napheesa Collier. She's one of the top players in the WNBA and leads Minnesota in scoring and rebounding.
I see reality setting in and the Sun blowing out the Lynx, who will be playing for the fourth time in six days and won't have Collier and her 21.8 point scoring average. No other Minnesota player averages more than 13.8 points.
The Sun missed 14 of 17 shots from 3-point range in their 87-83 loss to the Lynx. Minnesota, by contrast, was on fire hitting 57.4 percent from the field. The Lynx rank seventh in field goal percentage at 43.5 percent and are 10th out of 12 teams in 3-point shooting percentage.
The veteran Sun, the third-best team in the WNBA, not only has short revenge but also is in must-win mode knowing they have a four-game road trip following this matchup.
Despite Sunday's stunning victory, the Lynx still have covered just three of the past 11 times in Connecticut.
(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is beating the WNBA for the fifth time in six seasons. He's on a 14-8-1 run on his past 23 premium/free WNBA plays and is 4-0 on his last four Max Unit WNBA plays with his Max Unit WNBA Game of the Week going today in addition to this free play. Don't miss gaining an edge by taking advantage of Stephen's hard work and expertise in the WNBA.)
