I don't believe the Tigers should be a home 'dog today in a pitching matchup of Marco Gonzales versus Matthew Boyd.

Gonzales is a bottom-of-the-rotation starter with a 4.70 ERA. The lefty has a 1.47 WHIP. The Tigers are 4-1 in their last five games versus a southpaw starter. 

Boyd is 2-1 career-wise against the Mariners with a 3.52 ERA. The lefty is off a quality start against the Cardinals. 

Seattle ranks last in on-base percentage and batting average against left-handed pitching.
