(NCAAB) Rhode Island vs. Fordham,
Point Spread: -4.00 | -118.00 Rhode Island (Away)
Result: Loss
Fordham has lost five in a row to drop to 9-10 overall. It's not a coincidence the Rams began this losing streak when guard Antonio Daye Jr. left the program. He was Fordham's second leading scorer at 16.8 points and team leader in assists.

Fordham was hoping to make some noise in the Atlantic Conference this season. Not anymore. Darius Quisenberry is the Rams' lone backcourt scoring threat. The guard-oriented Rams get very little scoring from their frontcourt.

Rhode Island is in stop-the-pain mode, too. After opening 12-4, the Rams have dropped three in a row. Rhode Island's last loss, though, was by just two points to Dayton as a six-point road 'dog this past Friday. Fordham's average loss during its losing streak is by 10 points.

Rhode Island's strength is its 33rd-ranked scoring defense. Rhode Island also ranks fifth in defensive field goal percentage. So this is a bad matchup for Fordham, which has to rely on perimeter shooting due to its lack of a front-court presence. Fordham ranks 235th in scoring, 322nd in field goal percentage and 273rd in 3-point shooting.

So I find this road chalk worth laying.
