We have a battle of lefty starters in Kolby Allard versus Hyun-Jin Ryu in this first game of a doubleheader. That's a major plus for the Rangers.

Texas is 21 games below .500. Ryu is better than Allard. Hence the huge price on Toronto. But the Rangers are a live 'dog here and taking 1 1/2 runs on the run line is a way to get involved.

Allard has a 3.70 ERA and an excellent 1.07 WHIP. Ryu has a 3.56 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. Ryu's ERA in his last three starts is 5.17.

The Rangers are 35-56, but they are 17-14 versus lefty starters. The Blue Jays are 10-15 against southpaw starters.
