Stephen Nover CFL Free Friday Play
(CFL) Toronto vs. Hamilton,
Total: 50.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 50.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
Toronto has scored at least 32 points in each of its four games. Hamilton has the worst defense in the CFL.
So, fittingly, the marketplace has bet the total up. But the Over/Under is high enough now where I see a pizza bet on the Under.
It takes two to make a total this high go Over. I don't see Hamilton holding up its end. The Tiger-Cats are forced to give Taylor Powell his first CFL start at quarterback down their top two QB's, Bo Levi Mitchell and Matthew Shiltz. Powell had a journeyman college football career. He's attempted just four passes in the CFL.
So I see Hamilton playing a very conservative game here knowing Powell's limitations and that the Argonauts have forced 16 turnovers and recorded 15 sacks in their four games.
The road team Argonauts should be content to sit on a lead if they get out in front as expected.
The teams met in Week 2 and there were 46 points scored in Toronto's, 32-14, home victory.
(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is beating the CFL for the ninth time in 10 seasons. He is 34-23-1 on his last 58 CFL plays and has his July Game of the Month going Saturday.)
