Seattle is a solid team but Baltimore is even stronger and that has already been on display in this series. The Mariners have now lost 10 of 13 games and they are struggling to score runs. Seattle averaged scoring only 2 runs in those 10 losses and in 2 of the 3 wins they averaged only 4 runs scored! Orioles have won 6 of 7 games and have averaged scoring 5 runs in their last 8 games. The pitching match-up today also favors Baltimore. Seattle's Bryce Miller has solid numbers this season but he has dropped off dramatically after a fantastic April. Not only has he often been shaky over the past two months, he also has a 5.00 ERA in day games this season. Baltimore's Corbin Burnes is 9-3 with a 2.28 ERA this season. He also has held opponents to a .189 batting average in his road starts this year! Burnes went 6 innings against the Mariners and allowed only 1 run (unearned!) earlier this season while Miller got hit hard and allowed 5 runs (4 earned) in 5 innings when he faced the Orioles this season.
