#929/930 ASA PLAY ON Over 9 Runs – Texas Rangers vs Washington Nationals, Wednesday at 8 PM ET - The Rangers won yesterday's game 7 to 1.  This ended a stretch of some big scoring games for the Nationals.  Washington had won 4 straight games and scored an average of 8 runs per game during this 4-game winning streak!  Both teams' bullpens have an ERA that ranks in the middle of the MLB rankings and the Nationals have allowed a high batting average so they are likely going to drop in the bullpen rankings as the season goes on.  In terms of starting pitchers here we like the fact that the Rangers Heaney is 0-3 with a 6.26 ERA and this should get the Nationals bats going again as they were heating up prior to yesterday's game.  Heaney has allowed 2 homers in each of his last 2 starts.  Also, he has given up 10 earned runs in his 10 innings on the mound in his 2 home starts this season!  The Nationals Trevor Williams, on the other hand, does have good numbers early this season but he faces a Rangers team that has a slugging percentage that ranks 4th in the majors when they are at home.  Texas has scored an average of 5 runs in their last 3 games and is averaging about that on the season as well.   After scoring 7 runs yesterday the Rangers bats get it done again today and we also look for Heaney's early season struggles to continue. That combination of factors will help to turn this into a high-scoring back and forth battle.  Over is the call in this one Wednesday evening.
