#965/966 ASA PLAY ON Over 9 Runs – Cleveland Guardians at Houston Astros, Tuesday at 8:10 PM ET - Expected starters are Carlos Carrasco for the Guardians and Hunter Brown for the Astros. We like the over here regardless of the starting pitchers but of course both Carrasco and Brown are expected to go and should get the start there. Both have had command issues. Carrasco allowed 5 earned runs in 5 inning in his last start and gave up 3 homers because his pitches were catching too much of the plate. Then, prior to this, he was missing the plate too much and walked 11 in 13 innings. Now he faces an Astros lineup that got a big confidence boost with the series in Mexico City as they scored 20 runs in two games there against the Rockies. Now Houston is back home where they have scored 5.7 runs per game in last 9 games. The Guardians have the 8th best team batting average in the majors this season. They will take advantage of facing a struggling Hunter Brown here. Brown gave up 3 earned runs in 4 innings in his most recent start and in the 9.2 innings over 3 starts prior to that he walked 8 batters. Brown has had a couple of disaster starts so far this season and just can't seem to get comfortable on the mound yet. He is winless with a 9.68 ERA so far and he had a 5.09 ERA last season. The Guardians have averaged scoring 5 runs per game this season. Couple that with the Astros heating up at the plate and this game being at Houston and you have the right ingredients for plenty of scoring here. Over is the call in this one Tuesday evening.
