#736 ASA PLAY ON Arizona State -3.5 over UCLA, Wednesday at 9 PM ET - The Bruins have lost 8 of their last 10 games with their only wins during that stretch coming vs Oregon State, the lowest rated team in the Pac 12, and at home vs Washington. Their most recent game on Sunday was their win vs Washington at Pauley Pavilion in a game where UCLA shot way above their season average making over 50% of their shots overall and 43% of their triples. For the season they are only making 41% of their shots overall (316th) and just 29% of their 3 point shots (342nd). This is a poor offensive team that struggles to score averaging just 64 PPG and only 57 PPG in their true road games this season. Now they go on the road where they have a record of 1-6 SU vs Division 1 teams (true road & neutral site games). Sunday’s win over the Huskies was the first time UCLA topped 62 points in Pac 12 play this season (6 games). We don’t expect them to shoot well here vs an ASU defense that ranks 36th in defensive efficiency and is allowing opponents just 65 PPG in their home games. While the Bruins played on Sunday, the Sun Devils have had a full week off to get rested and ready to try an extend their perfect home record so far this season (7-0 at home). They’ve already beaten 4 top 50 teams at home this season and UCLA currently ranks outside the top 100. ASU has played a very difficult schedule (13th SOS nationally per KenPom) yet they still have a 10-6 record. Compare that to the overvalued Bruins who have played a weaker schedule yet have a record of 7-10 SU. We like Arizona State to cover this small number at home.
