They then ran into the best defense in the NFL and managed just 17-points last weekend. Sunday night they get to face a bad Chargers defense that ranks 30th in points allowed per game at 25.8PPG. Los Angeles has allowed 27 or more points in six games this season. They gave up 27 and 30-points to the Chiefs who rate slightly better than Miami in offensive DVOA. Miami has an explosive offense that is 4th in total yards per game, 2nd in passing YPG and 8th in points scored per game at 24.9PPG. The Dolphins average 6.3YPP which is 2nd best in the NFL, the Chargers defense gives up 6.1YPP which is 2nd worst. Clearly to get to 52+ points we will need the Chargers to score too. L.A. is putting up 351.2YPG (13th), rank 6th in passing yards per game and 14th in scoring. This Miami defense has allowed 27 plus points in 3 of their last five games and can be exploited through the air, which is the Chargers strength. The Dolphins rank 22nd in passing yards per game allowed this season. Miami is 5-1 Over this season on the road, the Chargers are 3-2 Over at home. We expect both teams to score more than 27-points in this one.
