Their season averages are 1.14 and 1.08 so both fell well below those numbers. The common misnomer here as that we are not only slow paced (true) but both defenses are top notch (false). The Cavs are nowhere near as staunch defensively as they have been in past seasons ranking 7th in the league in defensive efficiency and 9th in eFG% defense. UVA sits at 71st in offensive efficiency and 87th in defensive efficiency. The Hokie offense is clicking right now scoring more than 70 points in each of their last 6 games for an average of 77 PPG over that stretch. The Cavs have gotten to at least 63 points in 8 straight games. That may not seem like a big deal but with the total sitting where it is, the projected score of this game is VT 61, UVA 57. We like both teams to get to at least 60 here and we’ll grab the OVER.
