#105 ASA NFLX FREE PLAY ON Philadelphia +5.5 over NY Jets, Friday at 7:30 PM ET - We like the value here. Line opened Jets -3 and has pushed all the way to -5.5 as we write this. Jets are 2-0 in the pre-season and Eagles are 0-2. Philly is off a terrible performance last week getting shut out vs New England so we expect a spirited effort here. Starting QB Hurts did not play in that game due to a stomach virus so we expect him to get some solid time here heading into the regular season. Jets rookie QB Wilson looks like he will get some time as well. These two teams practiced against each other all week and our reports are the Eagles got the best of the flyboys for the most part. The Philadelphia defensive line definitely dominated the Jets o-line in those practices. The Eagles rested most of their starters last week so we look for them to play a decent amount of time here. NYJ topped Green Bay last week but were outgained and the Packers turned the ball over 3 times (no turnovers for NY). The Jet defense struggled out of the gate with GB scoring TD’s on 2 of their first 3 possessions with 3rd string QB Benkert at the helm. Let’s not forget the Jets are projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL despite their 2-0 pre-season mark. They will face a motivated Philly team in this one. We definitely like the points in this game as we look for the Eagles to win the game and if they don’t, we still have a solid cushion.
