#646 ASA FREE PLAY ON UNC Greensboro -1.5 over Furman, Wednesday at 5 PM ET - These 2 met on Tuesday of this week and Furman embarrassed UNCG winning 68-49 as a 4 point favorite. It was Greensboro’s worst offensive performance of the year as they hit only 29% of their shots including us 2 of 18 from beyond the arc which equates to only 11%. With the loss UNCG drops a half game out of first place behind Wofford making this a huge home game, especially with back to back road games on the slate after this one. UNCG had won 7 straight games heading into Tuesday and caught Furman coming off a home upset loss to Wofford just 2 days earlier so it was a bad spot to be facing the Paladins. It was the Spartans only spread loss over their last 8 games and the host is now 11-5 ATS in this Southern Conference series. UNCG is the top defensive team in the SOCON (both defensive efficiency and eFG% defense) and after a poor performance on Tuesday we expect a shutdown effort at home tonight. UNCG’s defense has allowed just 38% shooting at home this year and after Furman shot 47% on Tuesday, we expect them to struggle on the road tonight.
