The Eagles of EWU have played a very tough schedule to date and that higher level of competition will have them very prepared for this conference opening game against Northern Arizona. EWU is a very misleading 1-4 SU because of their schedule and now step WAY down in class to face the Lumberjacks who we rate as one of the bottom 30 teams in college basketball. NAU is 0-3 and also played Arizona who beat them by 43-points and EWU lost to the Wildcats by 3-points. Eastern has won six straight meetings with the Lumberjacks with the last five all coming by double-digits. Going back further we find the Eagles are 15-3 SU the last eighteen meetings with the NAU.
