Under the best of circumstances, the Under would likely be my top pick in this game. But, with rain and/or snow and sustained winds between 25 and 35 mph with gusts of 40+, this is a slam dunk for me.
The Browns are 31st in scoring putting up just 16.2 ppg and have only exceeded 18 points once in their ten games. The Browns have leaned heavily on the passing game in their last two games, even though Nick Chubb has returned. But, despite Winston growing the ball 92 times in the last two games, it’s only translated into 24 points. With the high winds playing havoc with the passing game, I expect the 4th-ranked Steelers rush defense to make life extremely difficult for the Browns. The Steelers have the 2nd-best scoring defense in football, giving up just 16.2 ppg and I would be very surprised to see Cleveland get to that number tonight.
Even though the Browns scoring defense has taken a step back this season, the Steelers will have to be very methodical in their drives. The deep rainbow balls that Russ likes to throw are going to be out of the question in this weather. Tomlin is always a run-first coach and only the Eagles have more rushing attempts on the season. This one is going to be an ugly game in challenging conditions and points will be at a premium.
