This is a game featuring two teams with serious quarterback issues. The Aggies are on their fourth QB this season and are one of only two teams to have four quarterbacks throw at least five passes. The other team is FIU. Brandon Nunez came in last week and ran for two touchdowns on their way to a 33-30 OT win over La Tech. If Nunez doesn’t get the start, I still expect him to get a fair amount of playing time.
Not surprisingly, both of these teams rely heavily on the run to keep the chains moving. Neither has a serious home run hitter and I expect to see a big dose of ground and pound from both of these teams.
With two teams who aren’t in the top 100 in scoring and an Aggies team that has fewer passing yards than any team in college football except for Army and Air Force, we’re not going to see many fireworks in this one.
