Eastern Michigan has been money in the bank this season for bettors. They started the year with five straight covers before getting manhandled by Miami (OH) in Week 7. It was back on track last week against Central Michigan as 3.5-point favorites. The Eagles are a perfect 3-0 on the road ATS as well.
This is an Akron team that really struggles to run the football, averaging just 70.8 ypg (130th in the country). You would think that a team that runs so poorly would be able to throw the ball, but you would be wrong. Their 202 pass yrds/game ranks just 80th in the country and quarterback Ben Finley has thrown seven picks to go along with his seven TDs. The Eagles can also get after the quarterback and rank 37th in college football with 2.7 sacks/game.

EMU does tend to give up some sacks but that’s not something the Zips really do, posting just 10 sacks on the year against FBS competition. Akron may hang tight for a minute in this one but their lack of offensive firepower will ultimately doom them to another loss while allowing EMU to get yet another ATS win.
