The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to take control of the Western Conference this season. Minnesota has several players listed as day-to-day but none of them are expected to miss time on opening night. Anthony Edwards, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley give Minnesota four All-Stars in the starting lineup and off-season acquisition Donte DiVencenzo and rookie Rob Dillingham are excellent shooters off the bench. The Lakers are just older but not any better.
