Miami managed to cover the run line yesterday to improve its RL record to a league-worst 2-11... yikes. With SP Ryan Weathers on the mound today, I will be fading the Marlins in New York against the Bronx Bombers. Weathers has a low strikeout rate with his go-to fastball (8%) and opponents have a high barrel rate (19.2%) and exit velocity against him. He's more of a middle reliever than a starter and rarely lasts past the fifth inning. As a San Diegan, I have seen more than enough of young Mr. Weathers during his tenure with the Padres...

Yanks SP Marcus Stroman is off to a fine start (0.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP in 12.0 IP) and should be able to handle a Fins lineup that struggles to get on base (.270 OBP). One of the league's premier ground ball pitchers, Stroman will make light work of this Miami lineup.
