The North Carolina win was necessary for James Madison's ego after its coach and a collection of its talent departed for Indiana. That performance solidified the Dukes as a squad that isn't falling off just because a coach took a high-major job. They will straddle the line between solid and comfortably adequate until another excellent coach drives them back into the CFP discussion, but they're not going to fall off this week at App State.
