I'm confident the White Sox can win straight-up and believe there is value in a moneyline bet on them at +130 odds. 

The former Padre Mike Clevinger is finishing the season with a crescendo. He tossed a complete game shutout two starts ago and picked up a win for his performance in his last outing. Clevy has held five of his last six opponents to two or fewer runs and is a good bet to outpitch his opponent Michael Wacha on Saturday.

The San Diego starter has given up at least one homer in six of his last seven starts and may be running out of gas late in the season. The Southsiders will take advantage of any mistakes he makes over the plate. They have nothing to lose, while San Diego will likely feel like it has nothing to gain. The Padres are still mathematically in the Wild Card race as of Friday afternoon, but their playoff hopes are unlikely to make it through the night.

I'll bet on an SD letdown against Clevinger on Saturday at Guaranteed Rate Field!
