These teams didn't score too much in Tuesday's doubleheader, but I predict that will change on Wednesday.

Boston starter Tanner Houck has surrendered nine runs and 15 hits in two September starts and has an ERA north of five at home this season. He managed to hold New York in check twice earlier this season, but the third time will be the charm.

Yankees starter Clarke Schmidt has a 5.29 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 12 road starts this season. He posted a 1-2 record with a 5.16 ERA in six August outings. He held the Sox to two runs in one of those starts and kept them in check earlier this year, but I like Boston's odds of breaking out against Schmidt on Wednesday. He pitched in just 57.2 innings last season in his first real big league action and is up to 140.2 innings this year – will he show signs of fatigue down the stretch?

The over is 25-15 (62.5%) in Boston's games vs. the AL East and 24-18-1 (57.1%) in New York's games vs. the AL East. I'll ride those betting trends tomorrow at -110 odds!
