LA Angels vs. Oakland (Under 8)

Result: Loss
The Angels have waived several key players, including Hunter Renfroe, who Cincinnati claimed. Their bats came alive in the last two games (17 runs) but I'm predicting they will go cold on Friday vs. Oakland. LA is facing JP Sears, who I expect will have a bounce-back performance following two sub-par starts. He's had some up-and-down play but has held six of his last ten opponents to three or fewer runs. Despite giving up 39 hits in 24 innings in five August starts, his season WHIP is 1.23. He'll pitch much better in September, putting fewer runners on base, starting tonight vs. the Angels.

LA will start Patrick Sandoval, who bounced back from a couple of poor outings with a great start vs. the NYM (one run and two hits with seven Ks in six innings). I feel confident he will ride the momentum of that start into Friday's game against the A's, who he held to three total runs in two starts (12 IP) earlier this season.
