Taj Bradley has pitched much better in July and he’s better on the road now with a much improved ERA. He’s been striking out batters and has been solid in his last four starts with an ERA of 1.29 in those four starts and a WHIP of .86. Tampa Bay is 4-2 in their last 6 games when playing on the road against St. Louis. He is the better pitcher over Fedde who’s in his second start as a Cardinal, his first at home. In his debut last game, he got rocked so the Rays will be able to take advantage of his control issues. The Rays lost a squeaker yesterday, but they have a chance to get one back in this series that they have dominated lately. St.Louis’ offense is not reliable as it is inconsistent in spots and have only won three of their last seven games. The Rays have the better offense and their bullpen isn’t bad, sitting at 15th in the league. The Rays are 9-4 in their last 13 meetings. There is good value on the underdog with the better pitcher.
